Freshwater / Great Lakes boat since new this vessel features Twin MerCruiser 454-cid 325-hp Gas Engine's. I see a lot of negative comments but first off, if you are worried about money then yes you can't afford her so move on. It's called a yacht not a row boat. It's in beautiful shape and the cosmetic updates from the 70s is minimal. A classic for sure and in wonderful shape. Thanks for the presentation. I hope she finds a new owner who can appreciate her.

I skipped school with a friend in the early seventies. His father owned a wooden Trojan on the Chesapeake bay. We took the boat out that day and ran into a submerged dock piling. The boat sank fast. We were close to shore and swam in. Not long after my friend was in the army.

Someone really loved that boat. The maintenance required to keep her in that shape, a good buy for someone who has some time, knowledge, energy and a need for adventure.

I remember this style of boat growing up in Florida. Even the 65 ft. Connie at a thousand dollars a foot. Picture yourself on this boat some evening having dinner with friends. while it’s pelting down rain. How warm and Inviting compared to so many plastic boats made today.

What a blast from the past! It's been a long while since seeing a Benmar auto pilot installed much less a Sitex CRT radar. Boat looks to have perfectly early preserved / pickled 1970 electronics.

in 1974 when i was 21 i bought a 1968 Chris Craft Connie 57 foot and lived on it for 36 years and in 1988 i bought a 1969 Trojan 42 foot to flip , these are very underrated yachts and among the the prettiest IMO , to bad this Trojan is gas not diesel

Someone has a lot more invested than 35k, beautiful boat and tastefully done. Nothing wrong with wood hull’s or gas engines. I have had all kinds of boats over the course of my life. You are either experienced enough to maintain or you’re not. Very nice boat.

My father was a Trojan dealer in the 70's and 80's. I worked for him as a teenager and endless amounts of teak cleaning on them. Pics put a smile on my face as I've only seen a few still around. The teak however not so much!

we had the 36' of this ilk. was a "trojan" on the mississipi with many voyages from memphis to vicksburg, outiings nearly every week. same 325's felt awesome throttle down. this one looks mint. the real questions are engine conditions and structural integrity but, wow, nice.

I lived on a 28 ft 1965 Trojan for a summer on the Barge Canal in upstate NY in the late 80s it was one of the best summers of my life This boat is a steal!!

That is a freaking GORGEOUS boat, in your quick tour it looked like there were a few rough spots in the engine room but the rest of it, other than the galley equipment (looked original by the color) looks gorgeous! I just wish I had the $$ to buy her.

back in the 80's I owned a 28 foot Trojan,loved that boat it had a 327 ran great ,lots of party nights were spent on that boat.

I remember those votes when I was a little kid a friend of mine his family had a 42 Trojan like this. Incredible time capsule. Made in Pennsylvania. I'm guessing twin 330 Chryslers . Not quite a Constellation, but close. I'll bet this is the only one left

Beautiful boat at 50 years old. I'd way sooner have the old-time elegance of this than some similar sized, overpriced plastic bleach bottle. But, alas, age has caught up with me and I have to sell my 50' schooner sometime this year.

Google claims it's a fiberglass hull....that makes it a steal unless you intend to cruise a lot in which case the gasoline cost will be substantial. Perfect for a liveaboard though.

😂, just a couple of questions. Horse power, fuel tanks hold ? What's the hull made of. What distance can a full tank go. How old are the motors, no one make parts for a 1971 motor, when was the last refit. Can it be moved , or trucked, how heavy is it. Are the seat cushions, 1971, ( wow, what a smell if they are.). A white elephant, tied up... To die,.. corpus $35.000, for a restaurant, parking lot. For fresh frozen, Sea food..🎉

Parts for a 71 engine which is a small block Chevy are not only available, they are very inexpensive. the cushions in the V berth definitely look original, but they also would only cost 2 or 3 hundred dollars to replace. my concerns are appliances, head and all the harvest gold and avocado green everywhere 🤣.

Its a beautiful boat, but in Washington, marinas are refusing to rent slips or boathouses to any wooden boat, no matter how well maintained. No sense in buying it if there is no place you can moor it.

but so enticing; I'd just get it to a dock and park it and live on it. but I guess it would start to leak and then hold on to your hat and your bank account.
