67,085 miles! This Monte is outstanding. Show quality in and out. Drives and functions like a new car. I drove it home and man is it nice. Smooth, responsive and everything I tried functioned properly. Owned by a mechanic, this is the 2nd car I bought from him. The 1st one was just as nice. This car has the Z03 option known as the "custom". This features the sport suspension, better insulation, lighting group, remote mirror and more.
EXTERIOR: Outstanding fit and finish. All original body panels, they fit square and flush. The doors, hood and trunk close like a new car. It is laser beam straight. Gorgeous midnight bronze color- code 68-68, no vinyl top. The paint is just 2 years old and it's polished like glass. The jambs still have their original paint, the original stickers are in the driver's door. The weather strips are good original. Up front the bumper is rechromed, the grill has bright chrome. The lenses, headlight bezels and hood ornament are mint. The side moldings along the rockers are pristine looking. The moldings around the windows and gutters are new. Door handles and emblems are shiny. In back the bumper is rechromed, the trim across the tail panel and trunk lock medallion is mint. The windshield is replaced, the rest of the glass medallion around the trunk lock all the glass is crystal clear. Windows roll smooth anf fit nice. It has a new set of chrome 15 inch Cragar wheels and new BF Goodrich tires.
INTERIOR: It's absolutely spotless inside. I'm looking at a beautiful wood grained dash with the factory style gauge package including tachometer. Nothing is cracked or cut. Clean lenses, gauges, heater controls, dash pad etc. It has a new digital retro stereo with aux plug. The tilt column has a new deluxe wheel. Down on the floor it has new carpet and embroidered Monte Carlo floor mats. The door panels and seat upholstery look like new. Overhead the headliner is pristine and fits tight as a drum. Visors look new. The mirror has a map light, the dome light works, the shoulder belts are there. The rear shelf area and trim is excellent. It is really very tidy inside. The stereo has speakers under the seats. Owner's manual is in the glovebox.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Freshly rebuilt big block. It runs perfectly, smooth and responsive. Casting numbers and CLB stamp are correct for this car. It was upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer intake and a new dual feed Holley carburetor. The distributor cap, wires, vacuum advance and MSD coil look new. Has stock exhaust manifolds, chrome valve covers and air cleaner. The motor is painted very neatly. The fan looks new, the big shroud is not broken, the upper hose is a GM reproduction. New cadmium plated power brake booster and new master cylinder. It also features power steering. It is very complete and proper- new horn, the squirters are hooked up, has hood insulation and the rubber splash shields over the suspension. The optional under hood lamp works. There is an expensive reproduction Delco battery.
