I love when people post videos that are exactly what you were looking for. Especially when it's not their normal content so you know they went out of their way to post it to help the next person! Thank you Randall!

I am really glad that my video helped. I felt there was a bit of lacking information for the F250 version. Plus, not everyone wants to do a Crown Vic swap.

Great video! Doing a front suspension swap on mine (71) to a disc brake setup from a 76. Adding power steering while I’m at it. Good info and adding in the torque specs was even better.

Totally it probably took me about 20 hours start to finish over the course of three days. My truck tracks so much straighter down the road now.

Where did you get your torque specs and bushing kits from? Thanks! About to do the same on my '71.

I used a Haynes repair manual for 1973-1979 ford trucks. Most of the parts were purchased from national parts depot.

What can you tell me about camber adjustments? Can't find anything on the subject.

I have the same concern the top of my tires are leaning outward a little not to much. F250 camper special 2wd. The top of the spindle where kingpin slides thru has a little play not sure if it's normal or not. Share if you find something.

Thanks for the great tutorial Randall. Your king pins must have been tight with no play.

Thank you for the video. I have a 72 f250 with drums I believe I can get a 77 f350 with disks. Do you think I could swap them? I'm not that mechanical but my brother in law is. Is this a possible swap?
@randalldellwo6365
@randalldellwo6365 9 месяцев назад
Yes it’s definitely possible. I’ve heard of quite a few people swapping the disc brakes from the 73-79 trucks to these older 67-72. But unfortunately I’m not really sure what it takes to do it.

Is that a camper special? And do you know the coil spring part number?
@randalldellwo6365

It’s not the camper special it’s the Custom.

Sorry. Don’t know the spring part number. But I think you can get them at LMC.

How much did it cost you for parts to do this repair?
@randalldellwo6365
@randalldellwo6365 11 месяцев назад
Cost around $700 I think. That includes the king pins which I didn’t use cause mine were still in great shape.

how many hours for a job like this
@randalldellwo6365
@randalldellwo6365 9 месяцев назад
It took me about 4 days, roughly 4 hours per day. But a lot of time was spent trying to remove the rubber bushing from the end of beams. And a bunch more time making sure I had the proper torque specs. If those things weren’t an issue I think it could be an easy two day job or roughly 8 hours.
