The old husqvarnas were the most beautiful off road bikes ever made. Also the easiest to work on, but to be fair, most two strokes of that era were easy to maintain. But after you maintained a husky you had a better machine with unreal straight line stability. For the 1978-80 the wheelbase was 60" which is why the stability was so great. You could hit a whoop at speed and never fishtail. You had to get your weight over the front wheel to turn though. To fix that you just shortened the wheelbase by about an inch by adjusting the stantion tubes after loosening the triple clamps. Slide the tubes up an inch to improve cornering. It will still go straight but not quite as perfectly.
