This newly restored film from the Woods archive contains rare footage of the 1972 Grand Prix season focussing on Yamaha’s 125cc, 250cc and 350cc efforts. Highlights from rounds at the Isle of Man TT (hit by horrendous weather - the last time Ago raced there), Dutch TT at Assen (Including rare aerial footage), Spa-Francorchamps and interview with riders featured include Jarno Saarinen, Rod Gould and Chas Mortimer.
Also features a special bonus 1960s film following a bike along the Yamaha production line and into testing.

Fabulous stuff..!!..Miss the old Production Class race..Nearest thing to standard road bikes....Bought my Suzuki T500 mk2 after Crooks Suzuki won again back in 72....Bonnevilles and Norton Commandos and Triumphs fitted with the infamous 750 "zip kit"....struggled to stay with it out on the road..!!!..Still got it ...needs big refurb ..!!!

these were more dangerous... a 350 2 stroke is like a 600 4 stroke at half the weight... Much scarier.... and 500 2 strokes are lighter, but just barely slower than modern 1000cc 4 strokes... these bikes were scary....

@@cookowa3256 That depends on the era. You're really taking about 2-strokes from 20 years after this. Here they are still on a par (or thereabouts) with the MV-Agusta 4-stroke (Agostini and Read still won world championships on 4-stroke MVs up until 1974).
