Beautiful engine, well done Mark! Wish you would share the internal mods and estimated torque and horsepower. I think the LS5 is a great torquey street engine. You always here about the LS6 which was awesome but higher compression and solid lifters made it a little less cruiser friendly.

I recommend that 7 blade fan and heavy duty fan clutch on all big blocks that have hi temperature readings. Seems to help. Most over heating issues are due to lack of air flow

Thanks roger, I had radiator flow tested and they said it was perfect so I’m trying this fan and fan clutch

Our 72 El Camino LS5 hangs around 180-190 on a regular basis.
