The Plymouth Duster, the forgotten bad ass, always loved the Duster body style

This is the kinda car you can drive and enjoy much more than a more valuable car. Take this one out and beat the snot out of it and not worry about it.

Dusters are so much cooler than Novas! I've thought that ever since they first came out when i was a kid.
@CarsandCats

They are better in just about every way. That's because they had two years to improve on the Nova.
@TheWhitetailrancher

@@CarsandCats They had a whole lot more than two years. More important they were designed by much better engineers at Chrysler.

I’ve always loved both, and had both when I was younger. I wouldn’t kick either one out of the garage for leaking oil.

Some new seatcovers and some tunes, and you've got a great car show cruiser that you can have fun in while cars that are "too valuable" sit in collections.

I prefer old cars that are already modified. Having an original matching numbers car makes mods sacrilegious.

@@HoosierGarage Here's my memory: 73 was the first year 8 1/4 rears were used in A bodies. 72 and earlier A bodies had the five lug, four inch bolt circle, with either the 7 1/4 rear or the 8 3/4 rear. Then 73's went (mostly) to the 4.5 inch bolt circle, and the 8 1/4 inch rear. At least some slant sixes in 73 with drum brakes kept the 4 inch bolt circle, those with disc brakes up front went to 4.5 inch BC. So some 7 1/4 rears in this era had 4.5 inch bolt circles, some still had 4. I've had examples of both. All A body 8 3/4 rears had the 4 inch bolt circle, while all 8 1/4 rears, A or B, had the 4.5 inch bolt circle. So no 8 1/4 rears in A bodies before 1973.
