That car is a real gem, I had one from 1970 when I lived in Cow Hollow in San Francisco, and believe it or not sometimes I still dream of driving it, it has stayed under my skin, I will never forget it...!
Great car ,glad to see that you kept a Pontiac engine ,in my opinion it ruins a Pontiac when you put a chevy/corporate crap engine in a Pontiac body ,but there is couple things missing to make it a complete car for me ,one is a manual transmission and the second is a A/C , I live in Florida to hot down here as far as the A/C goes, I know how to launch and speed shift or some people call it (power shifting) ,manual transmission are way more responsive if you really have the speed and accuracy to drive a manual transmission, in my opinion most people do not know how operate a manual transmission properly.
We used to take the door mirrors off wrecked firebird or trans ams and Camaros put them on Chevelle's and Buick skylark's and fit perfect. Made the bodies look more sporty and clean looks
Beautiful car. (Hint for Firebirds and Camaros) You never roll the windows all the way down below the top of the door or those big windows will shake when you shut the door. Just sayin'...
that car was built 5 mins from my house at the Norwood assembly plant the home of the Camaro and firebird 70-76 all F bodies came from Cincinnati/Norwood the Camaro was born there in sept 1966!!!
Gorgeous bird! The lines of this car, to me, are the perfect balance of masculine & feminine..., rarely found with the exception of old Ferraris’ and Jags. I love it.
I had a '72 Firebird 350 in a brighter orange with white vinyl interior and roof...the roof being pretty commonplace in the early 70s, but I didn't like them on ponycars. No rear spoiler when I bought it used, but didn't keep the car for very long. Almost traded it in for a new same color '77 Formula 400, w/o the white vinyl interior (too cold and stiff in winter) and roof, but opted for ordering a black '77 Chevy Camaro LT instead. Big mistake, b/c I got an even more of a slug v8 305 instead of the 350 which I ordered.
That is SO gorgeous! 1972 is my birth year too. Oh man would I love to have this. The ONLY thing I dislike a little is that faux wood dash. I don't know why they did that. Should have done it in that 'carbon fiber' look like some of the old camaros had.
Oh dear sweet engine oil, what is wrong with me! This car makes me think about grand theft auto, the sound of the engine makes me shiver, lusting as if cars are living things. Aren't I supposed to like shoes, purses and diamond rings? Ugh she is even beautiful underneath! Haven't seen a carburetor in decades. Beast indeed!
Very nice car, whoever built it did a good job but I'm surprised that nobody spent any time on panel alignment,...it is my specialty so I suppose I can be a little more critical, with such straight body work I'd like to see better lines but I guess you can always find fault even with a million dollar car

I wish I was a millionaire I would buy that car in a second I love how Trans Ams have the gas tank intake in the back of the license plate yes I used to have a Trans Am mine was a 1976 E. spirit Trans Am 6.6 L 455 CU four barrel carb whenever I used to get inside of the car to drive it was so loud inside you would hear it rumbling because of the loud engine these cars are simply loud and fast crazy fast I miss my trans Am sorry if there's misspellings I have an iPhone 6s Plus it's made in China from Verizon wireless it's a piece of shit phone I hate iPhone I hate Apple products why can't they make it in America or at least Japan Japan is very smart
