I had a 74. Burnt orange with the wide black stripes. Was only a 304 2bbl. What a sexy car. Loved the dash on both passenger and driver's side. On the East cost, she died from the Rust Monster.
One of the GREATS!!! I had 2 Javelins, a 360 auto and a 401 4-Speed. NEVER should have sold either one! I've got no chance of affording another one. They gave you SO much more standard equipment than Cuda/Challenger, Mustang (which by then was big as a Yacht, with non-existent rear visibility), and Camaro!
I only have this Hornet Film, from 1973 and a commercial. I don't believe there was a separate film for the SST version. I don't have the Gremlin, but this is already uploaded here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yAlmNTRVhzs.html
Best buck for your $$$$. Javelin 401, 4v & 4sp manual, posi. & beautiful, too. Throw, some performance Radials, done deal my friend. Also bear in mind AMC, out sourced some parts to GM,CHRYSLER,ETC. The best of parts from them. Also, they lasted forever, except for RUST. BUT, they kicked ass too.
When the new style 71 Javelins came out, the shorter wheelbase AMX was gone as a separate model.......But the AMX performance/Trim package became part of AMC going forward, first on the Javelin in 71 and then later on Hornet and Spirit models.
