Thanks for bringing that to us!!! I'm heading out now to Howard-Johnson's now for a fried clam sandwich on a split hotdog bun......I worked for a lady on the mid 70's who owned a AM Ambassador. She was so proud. When she bought it and I went out and went thru it. I was 18 and loved looking a car so enjoyed looking at the details. Again thanks for posting this !

That is very true. Most young people now have been raised in the world of the minivan and CUV and they have never seen a station wagon

This was the spring opener a few weeks ago in Staten Island. A 73 Matado wagon...I mean come on! Fantastic! And it is really in good shape for 50yo

Nice AMC. AMC was a mix mosh of parts. The only thing that was from AMC was the engine. The power steering was from Delco GM The carburator was and ignition system wasFord Transmission was a 727 toque flight transmission Before 72 they're Borg and Warner transmission. The tumbler and keys are GM square and oval keys. And the car had Saginaw steering GM.

@@GalaxieMarauder And the only reason that AMC was bought by Chrysler was for the Jeep. The car's were phased out because Renault had the alliance same as our eagle premier. And present day the Jeep is garbage FIAT brand.

@@GalaxieMarauder I remember walking past an AMX parked in a driveway coming home from school. It was red and I really envied them for having one.
