Hi Cam, excellent video, thanks for sharing. I've seen some datejust from the 1970's with a "T SWISS T" dial and some with a "T SWISS MADE T" dial. Do you have any info on this subject? Did Rolex use both? Do you know if the "t swiss made t" is used as a replacement dial from that era? I haven't found much info online... Thanks in advance for your help ! Cheers

I believe that blue dial is a shantung dial. Made for the asian market specifically.

Datejust is the king of Rolex. I've owned heaps of Rolex's in my decade in this hobby, and literally dozens of other luxury watches, and my DJ 116200 has outlived all of them (except my IWC Mark XVI which is my longest ever held piece (ooh that was a bit cheeky wasn't it)). Datejust really is a perfect "1 watch".

This will be my next watch. So far I only have an Omega seamaster ceramic, but I’m looking to build up a vintage diver/vintage dress collection and use the seamaster as my daily.

Always wondered. How were these dials made? And are all the dial patterns unique? i.e. if you placed 2 silver linen dials from the same run of watches side by side and looked at both through a loupe , would there be differences? Thanks and cool video
