Jeezz. I think that this poor Alfa would be happy being a restomod. If i have bought this one, i would put it a Twin Spark engine from a mid 2000's Alfa (if not stock, certainly it's a great option, since in those days tha engine was in the racing-purpose Alfas, like the GTA and the TZ); the original (but whit lightened gears) transmition; also would search for a donor-parts Spider to put it all the things that would be right to preserve in the original style of the car. Well, that's what I would do, but it's certainly in better hands with you than whoever did this. "Look how they left my boy" I recomend you to have the 'Alfa Romeo Owners Bible': it have a great deal of information to repair, check things and give maintenance to the things that hare still original in your Alfa * I have a '78 Spider in process of restoration. Funny thing I have a 1978 Alfa Romeo spider as well but I have swapped a 1993 2.3L ranger motor with a Volkswagen turbo and a 5 speed and I swapped the ranger axle in the rear as well
Yeah what did they use for motor mounts lol. Wood ? Lol I have a 76 302’s are easyer to put in and use a 65 mustang radiator but use a mustang 2 oil pan I’m thinking of using the suspension out of the mustang
