Actually, it was the 610 that replaced the 510 (both were called the Nissan Bluebird in Japan). Also, the 510 name made a comeback three years after this commercial was made, as the name for the A10 series Violet when it was sold in North America.
@@johneddy908 yes I do remember that 510 my parents replaced their 1972 510 sedan with the revised 1978 Datsun 510 model I remember it because I was 6 sitting in the showroom sitting in a brand new 280zx while they were preparing our brand new 510 for delivery it was a Silver with black and white interior manual transmission my parents have owned Datsun and Nissan products for 50 years now.
