Sounds and looks great! Need a chain to go anywhere though. I had a 72 XLH stroker.Loved that ride. Put 100k miles on it. Three top end jobs, 2 sets of pistons and a main shaft. Lots of chains and tires. Mostly change the oil and ride.
I had a ‘66 BSA 650. The starting drill was 1) DON’T TOUCH ANYTHING! Just kick it twice, 2) Turn on ignition, open both petcocks, prime the Amal carbs (little push buttons on top), 3) Full choke and kick it through. Worked every time.
Sweet bike. I have a 1975 Ironhead that needs to be redone. I've been saving money for about a year-and-a-half now just for that. I want to have a full rebuild and restoration done to it
Mayyynnneee.... You do some awesome shit with these old Sportsters. I always DUG the Sportsters cause they were like sitting on nothing but motor... kinda like a skinny gal with a firm but small and shapely backside and a front end that's like a perfect little set of 34 b's and you're right there with an engine that might get a little wet but won't quit !!!
Never have been touching sporties since back in the 70s But had a guy have me do a hardtail.... hooked ...started building one the other night for myself ( i need another bike like a hole in my head)with left over shovel /evo parts. Build it for around town.. You got me turned around here after looking at your shovel sporty ... might just do a dual engine this winter... badtard🤣 got me thinking 😂
I hate to say it, because I'm old as hell and my lower back is absolutely shot to pieces, but ya just cannot beat the look of a rigid frame. I guess what I mean is that this is one art form I'm prepared to suffer for. (Dammit, son, orthopedic surgeons love you, because yer putting their kids through college!) But hey -- life is already too short, so fookin' live it to its fullest and ride like a maniac, because tomorrow may never arrive!
Hey man. I'm really curious with what's up with my shovelhead and why I can't get it to start consistently. I have a Dyna 2000i ignition with an S&S Super B carb. It's an '83 shovelhead motor. It was sitting for roughly 4 years and since I've been working on it, I've gotten it running once. Runs perfectly. I know there's only so much you can say given the little info that I'm able to provide, but would you say that it's timing related or that it's not getting enough fuel?
When doing wiring jobs on these bikes ...disconnecting the pins from the plastic holder..are the pins in the plug harley specific..ive tried a few different pin pushers..won't go ..

Sweet! I see you're up to two Harbor Friend lifts. Good lift for the money. Specially on sale. Although I had to re-work the hydraulic pump on mine. It lifts the Ironhead with no issues, but put my FXST on it, and blew out the pump seal. Glad to see I'm not the only one still kicking my Ironhead. :-)
That is one beautiful bike. If I bought it, I'd remove the white wall tires (ugly to me), and those handle bars. I'm so short(5'7") I would have to lean too far foward to reach them and when I do, I feel like I don't have enough control, but we live these bikes cause they're so customisable! Good job. I wish I could afford it! Ride safe.

Love the bike. I aent been long picked up a 74 shovelhead chopper. Frames been raked , hardtailed. Running a open primary with suicide shift and all . it's a numbers matching bike with a title. it's just a basket case right now.. someone took it apart several years ago and just give up on it. I'm Building a 04 cvo fatboy for my son but once it's done I'm gonna get rolling on the shovelhead. I'm going to need some parts for sure. Do you have a ebay store you sell on ? I'm positive you will have about everything I'll need. Thanks for the videos and knowledge.

If I could even tell you how many times I've heard that and only been true once. I'd say that's priced high unless everythings really really nice and original. You should be able to find one for around that give or take running needing work and you'd be better off.

I really like those bars on that bike,and im not a sidewalk biker like most s#!t talkers ,i actually own & ride multiple HD's ,id love to own that little bike as a bar hopper .
