In this fifth video of the engine rebuild on a 1974 Norton commando 850cc. We install the cylinder assembly. First off we take the fresh re-machined cylinder prepare it for installation to the bottom end and then fit the piston rings, then we move on to installing the group on to the bottom end,

You can use a fishing scale on the combination wrench to torque the cylinder base nuts. Divide 12 by the length of the wrench and use that factor to calculate the torque in foot #s.

A coat hanger instead of safety wire. Part 6 Stator or rotor 😊 remove the head to set ignition timing. How about a timing disc.

why not .040 safety wire

Well we could've used that wire but we used a very strong wire and like any wire used it needs to be tight and not able to wiggle or vibration will wear the wire and fail
