Even Air Coryell was a royal disappointment 1979-82. Bottom line Gene Klein was a cheapskate. Let all good players go while never drafting a half descent secondary. Poor Dan Fouts wound up like Fran Tarkenton, Dan Marino and Jim Kelly. 0 Superbowl wins for any of these great quarterbacks.

Damn he let Fred Dean go. 1984 49ers won Superbowl 19 with Fred Dean, Louie Keltcher, Gary Big Hands Johnson, (from San Diego) Manu Tuiasasopo (from Seattle) Hacksaw Reynolds, Wendell Tyler (from Rams) and Russ Francis (from Patriots) one of Montana's favorite targets, against Miami 🐬 Dolphins. Cheapskate Klein let John Jefferson go! Best wide receiver I had seen in my lifetime until Jerry Rice. Whoops! Lynn Swann mid 70s. Trivia. Lynn Swann and Tom Brady went to Serra high-school in San Mateo County, California.

My mom got me a great book from the Kmart discount rack as a kid Gene Kleins First Down and a Billion. He was the guy who raised the price of popcorn in movie theaters, a great businessman who was more interested in making $$$ than winning championships
