Woh! I remember seeing this car at a car shop back in 2005. I really wanted to buy it but didn't have the funds. Awesome to see it again. Wish I could still get it.
Best looking dash i've ever seen on a Nova GT/Sterling. The roof/door opens and closes a little slow, but that can be fixed. The backside of this Sterling looks very good, great job done there. For this price in Europe it would be sold in no time.
By the sound of it, it still has its original VW engine, with its 34 - 50 hp. A pity, because esthetically the car has been built very well. I hope its next owner will have the courage to place a more modern engine in it (Porsche, Subaru and Alfa Romeo boxers have replaced the VW in various Novas, over the years). Already the 129 hp Alfa Romeo 1.7l 16v boxer from the Alfa 33 and 145-146 would give this thing pretty decent performances, without upsetting too much its handling. A pity that the engine is probably underwhelming, because the esthetic finish is really good.
I love these cars except that most of them have underpowered motors. What I saw here was a walk around video shot in a dark garage, Not a good idea. Have some clue as to the interior which looked OK but really should have had much better lighting so we could see it perhaps? How many times could we watch the canopy go up and down. One demo would suffice, but this clip was infatuated with showing the procedure repeatedly. We got it the first time. What size and make of motor? We were never shown the engine bay and by the sound of it, it is probably a VW 1300 or 1600. Next, we were never shown the car moving or flying down some road. Also, if you expect to sell it, use narration to describe everything you know about this car. You can tell a story or so about the build, getting pulled over by the cops, people clamoring around you when you pull up for gas. Just some suggestions.
thanks for being an overbearing, judgemental jerk. car's been sold for over 2 years.. so in return here's my advise.. be more observant and pay attention to detail, like posting dates. it had an 1835 with 4bbl setup
also as you see only 4 comments down I said a deal was made on it so instead of being in criticism mode costantly, open your eyes, read an observe.. thanks.. your comment had no need to be made, was snarky and unwarranted, not everything is about you, your preference or your opinion
+PROCHAMPIONSHIP BELTS Whatever, the guy was right. You may have sold the car but this video missed pretty much every mark when it comes to being informative, let alone being solid marketing. Just because someone is critical of you doesn't mean they are a jerk.
Nice vid! I sold several other sterlings for much more than the asking price so that is a very cheap price. I have been keeping track of if it for years. Hope all goes well for you!
