A famous upset win by the New South Wales Country rugby league team against their City counterparts. The bush side that year featured soon to be established NSWRL first grade legends such as Mick Cronin, Greg Brentnall and Terry Fahey under the coaching of hall of famer Arthur Summons. Their metropolitan opponents that day included such icons of the sport as Ron Coote, Bob Fulton and Bob McCarthy. It was the only time Country beat City between 1968 and 1991.
