I must say l thought the turntable did well not to groan under that weight ! As you say Jay. It's not for everyone but someone will really enjoy becoming the next custodian of this delicious piece of Americana ! Thanks Jay.
That car is the reason I would sit in one at Roto Lincoln Mercury and turn the headlights on, then shut them off, an absolutely stunning automobile from an era long gone
OMG! This car speaks to me and I like! True Lincoln fan here! 🤠🤠🤠. This car is special and beautiful and amazing! Just realized Canadian colours too. 🇨🇦
Absolutely amazing Mark lV. A real head-turning Collectors piece!!! Wonderful edition! I never saw a Lipstick version 💄💄before!! Simply stunning 👌👄💋💄 Thanks for showing and Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹👍👍
Time capsule showcasing an amazing age of American luxury. Unattainable for most of us at the time but a dream come true now for the discriminating buyer/collector.
The Electric POWER Vent windows on the front part of each door is one of the coolest options this cart has - the electric vent glass window lowers 1st then the main window follows it down - I had a 74 Thunderbird with that option !
I just hate when people take about Frank Cannon and the Continental Mark IV . He was a big FAT slob he should have been riding around on a FORK LIFT .This GORGEOUS LIPSTICK MARK IV should have a GORGEOUS women driving it like my wife .
So, the “lipstick edition” is a factory documented special edition? Similar to the diamond Jubilee or collectors series town cars? Great car, well presented.
Every month in 1976, the Mark IV got a new Luxury Group trim package. It started with the Silver Luxury Group, then the Gold Luxury Group followed by Saddle/White, Dark Jade/Light Jade, Red/Rose, Gold/Cream, Lipstick/White, Blue Diamond, Black Diamond - and the Versailles Option Luxury Group. And there were others!
@@eddstarr2185 Thank you, I didn’t know that. I was only aware of the Diamond Jubilee, Collectors Edition, Bill Blas etc... because of their badging or unique markings or features.
Do the vent windows go completely down before the side window follows? When I was a kid a friend's mother had a loaded MK4 with the optional convenience group which had power vents that I recall well went completely down! Someone on Facebook insist that was not available on the 4 but on the 5
Watched a video of a guy who tried to jump the St Lawrence river in a 76 Lincoln rocket car. It did not go well! This one is in slightly better shape. 🤣
Wow wow a giant Mouse in slippers 🎶 🎶 music 🤟 😊 from the batcave comes the most gifted gourgeus lincoln luxiry car No 1 i have ever seen holy 🦇 batcave thanks Jay grams for this car is so cheap 😊😊🤩💎
Car looks so much better in white. Red is just a tad vulgar even by mid 70's disco standards. Shame no moonroof, too. BTW, someone made a white lipstick edition CONVERTIBLE Mark IV. I saw some pictures. That was to die for!
Great car! What is one to do with one like this one? Just collect it? Drive it? Once miles start accumulating the value goes down for sure. What to look for then if I’m interested in an specimen to actually drive it?
Sure, the value of a vehicle like this would likely be affected by having higher miles. Especially considering its history and originality. However, equally important is caring for & maintaining the vehicle. Driving around locally to car shows and events probably wouldn't hurt the value much.
Beautiful car. Surprised there is no insulation under the hood. 03:22 I would expect the rear brakes to be disc brakes as well. They started with 4 wheel disc brakes in 1975.
My Grandfather had a 1976 lipstick mark 4 I remember riding in it when I was 6 years old I thought it was a beautiful car unfortunately a year later it got stolen and they never found it
