In this 50th Video from Classic Car ChitChat, you will get to see a beautiful 1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. This car is Straight out of Smokey & The Bandit and has an absolutely beautiful paint and custom art work on it! There were several Firebirds made with different trim levels whether they were the Formula 400, the Firebird Esprit or the Camaro this car will definitely turn heads with its 400 big block engine and incredible exhaust sound.
In case you are keeping Track this is Episode 50 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!
I hope my Classic Car ChitChat video’s make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great RU-vidrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
Equipment Used:
Camera - Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

If you have read this far, then I thank you. As always, I truly appreciate your “thumbs-up”, and by leaving your comments it demonstrates to me that I managed to get you involved and hopefully made you smile. Most importantly when you subscribe to my channel then you are truly acknowledging my effort to help share with others like you my passion and love for “all things that have wheels” and honouring the people who take care of them.
Thank You
Kevin

What a lovely video. Is it me or is anyone else noticing just how nice all the Canadians are. I love it!

Hi Susan, I have to laugh.. as my friend Ron Carter from our local car club (little shout out to the MISSISSAUGA CLASSIC CAR CLUB) pointed out when I first met with him is that the classic car club members are truly something else and would do anything to help. Add to that the fact we are all Canadian which means we are all kind and polite 😀

Oh no! Did we just call that a big block Pontiac?!?
@ct87gn25
@ct87gn25 2 года назад
Unfortunately yes, he did. Not his fault as the owner doesn't seem to know himself. As most people who know Pontiac engines already know, they never made a "big block" as most Pontiac engines share the same outside dimensions. In other words, a 326 V8 looks just like a 455 V8 to those who don't know codes or even head stamp numbers (which can be swapped out). No biggie though, beautiful T/A in the video and as we all know, getting harder and harder to find nice, clean examples......

Ct87.. first of all I appreciate you watching my videos. Sorry if it seemed misleading.. certainly not our intention. I appreciate the info you provided .. would never have thought the outside dimensions were the same. Thanks for sharing. Kevin

Back in the 80 s I lived next door to a guy who had a Trans Am just like the one in the Smokey and the Bandit films. And he still has it to this day.

Dennis.. first of all thank you so much for watching my videos I truly appreciate it. For those of us that love that grew up in the 80’s these cars always brought back fond memories. For me growing up in England I recall seeing KnightRider and thought one day I will get one. When I arrived in Canada there was a kid who had (his dad’s) 76. Same colour but no flames 😀

@@ClassicCarChitChat When my kids were small I took them to a car show. There was the Knight rider car there,it was supposed to be the one from the show.I also used to work at a GM dealership when the body style of the one you had were new.
