Incredible. I'll never be able to afford anything like that; however, glad to see there is an outfit out there doing these to such high standards. God Bless, and Thanks for sharing this with us! Well done.
Now this is a true classis! So glad you kept the original motor and all most everything else Original. Not many original will be left very soon (Worldwide) with all the resto-mods. True Historic Time Capsule FJ40 for Landcruiser lovers Worldwide! This is what I can only dream for my 1983 BJ40 Hardtop. Thanks for the inspiration JW!
Few car designs are as ageless as the TLC FJ40. I have owned a Brazilian Bandeirante version for 27 years, and I have kept mine because I see no reason to trade it for any other vehicle. This is it; a car for a lifetime.
Looks good. my moms 85 needs some more TLC. The engine rebuild has been great, but its maybe time for some more. I might bring it by so I can see your shop and some of your bronco work.
Very inspiring work Jonathan, thanks for sharing that restoration. I have a 76 FJ40 that is a well preserved time capsule. I’ll do a video soon, I drive it about once a week on a 60-70 mile round trip commute to LA. Original healthy 2F 4 speed original paint and body. We’ve addressed the drivetrain, steering and interior to restore back to original condition. But I feel torn between two things, converting to power steering and/or air conditioning. I know I know it’ll take away from the value of an original design but honestly I’m not building the truck for someone else, I want to built it for me to enjoy and it’s hot as hell in SoCal. And PS would also be appreciated. What do you recommend? Thank you
Jonathan, love your work and great videos man. I was wondering if you could go over the different stages of restoration in a video sometime. I've heard level 1 and level 3 so I assume that there's levels 2 and 4 maybe. Just curious, Keep up the great work!!
Such a nice job. Hoping one day to bring over from Oz my bj42 for the same resto but with a nod to the current icon models. Is that an issue doing a resto but including the modern icon touches such as interior, softtop and icon badges. Cheers Ed
The price is the item must be mentioned after restoration, because even though how much you emphasized the restoration and parts installed if the price is not affordable it's not worth it watching only to the person,(s) who are interested to purchase..... thank you.
