Yeah it's me again after about 2 years. As I was saying the original track was done in 1977 and is titled "Live Up Rasta Children". The "Here I Come" version was done in 1981. How I come to that conclusion!?...because I happened to have both tracks.
When Dennis Brown made The WOLVES AND LEOPARDS ALBUM, WERE CERTAIN TRACKS THAT WAS RELEASED AS 7 INCH SINGLES RELEASED FIRST or was the album released first? What i'm saying is, if the album came out first, then the official title must be HERE I COME, as that's what it's titled on the album!
I just played this to my luddite otherhalf it bought tears to his eyes and he said I had this it was around when the two sevens clashed and them both gone now so so sad
WOLVES & LEOPARDS ALBUM ORIGINALLY CAME OUT ON THE JAMAICAN PRE LABLE CALLED WEED BEAT, THEN WHEN IT WAS RELEASED IN THE UK IN 1977, IT WAS D.E.B. MUSIC LABLE!
" Me step on the Ladbroke grove, try to cook some ital on me brand new gas stove"..classic! I was born in London in 1963 and my mum and dad frequented Ladbroke Grove ❤💛💚
One of my all-time favorite dj/singerman tunes. Thanks for the post, Sounds like the mighty Soul Syndicate providing the groove. Dennis and I Roy are both crucial.
