Beautiful bass and you get a great sound out of it too! I’ve got a 77 Stingray and use it as my main bass on all recording sessions, you can also put some new mutes on that one and they give you a greater variety of tones. I played my stingray on a country track last week used the mutes, rolled off the treble and played at the bottom of the neck as opposed to over the pickup and got a convincing upright sound out of it even with rounds on it. Superb basses!
Never been a better time, especially since they released the Retro 70s. A perfect 1:1 replica of a Pre-EB and you don't have to pay old bass prices with old bass problems if you don't want to.
