1977 RAF Silver Jubilee Review Finningley 

I was at R.A.F. Finningley with a Vulcan from 50 sqn, R. A. F Waddington. As far as I remember the other Vulcans were from 9, 44 & 101 sqdn's. The airshow was truly amazing & a tribute to the people of the United Kingdom & Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Little did I know that 4 years later I would be working on the HS 748 (Andover CC Mk 2) and the Wessex Helicopter of The Queens Flight at RAF Benson. At the time of this celebration I was stationed in Germany on 3 (F) Sqn Harriers at RAF Gutersloh, so, this is the first time I've seen this parade and air show, thanks for posting it.

Thanks for posting this, I skived off work to watch this live on TV on the Friday then went to Finningley on Saturday to see it all again. Happy days.

GOD BLESS you Sir I've still got the 1977 Royal program I was 9yrs old but the chaps let me in a Hurricane and a Spitfire cockpit they was the days I'm i allowed to say Cockpit in 2021 Q the VULCAN ,OH THAT REMINDS ME WOTS MRS SPOCK AND PORT STANLEY GOT IN COMMON THEY HAVE BOTH BEEN FECKED BY VULCANS

I was on 8 Squadron as a young Rigger. We launched two Shacks from RAF Coningsby. Just before they joined up with the aerial parade, the two Flt Eng's discussed engine parameters. The most healthy one joined up, the other Shack returned to Coningsby. All the names of the Erks went in a hat. I was lucky enough to be on the healthier Shack. So proud, was I.

I was there. It was brilliant. M.
