I got to watch Mac Hobson race many times at Croft, Oliver's mount and Silloth . A sad day when he died on the IOM.

Very interesting and informative, thanks! Never seen the Goldwing pic before so that was new to me! Great to see Joey there for his first win and Mike doing the promo... I wonder if they ever met? What an amazing experience! So many great riders long gone - just hope I can get their autographs when my time is up! Reckon they are all up there still competing.

Thanks for having such great documentation on these. I don't suppose you have any footage or pictures from any of the 1971 750cc sidecar? My grandad was a sidecar passanger and would be great to know if you had documented this race? His name was Terry J Harrington
