Quick question. When you said you have to put your finger over the holes where the brake lines go you only showed doing that with one. Did you just connect the one theb only put your finger over the one you showed? Or do you have to do that with both?
my girlfriend has a 1978 f250 ranger lariat she just bought, wants me to do all the mechanical stuff since im a bit more mechanically inclined than her, and this was very helpful! I am trying to talk to her about replacing her master cylinder, and her brake booster because they're VERY rusted. Her brake pedal is almost to the floor to stop too, it takes a lot of force. I am curious if the brake booster would be the cause of this.. Like maybe it went out? If you have any idea I'd love to know!
Thanks! It's normal for some surface rust, if the brake booster were bad it would be difficult to push the pedal down yes. You might check to make sure the vacuum line is connected/not leaking, though you might have running issues if that were the case. I'd try eliminating as many other brake components first since the booster is usually the most expensive.
@@rednecklite well actually her truck ended up dying on us tonight lol. her fuel pump started leaking fuel out of the lines, I think the outer line? Going to get it replaced tomorrow, hopefully not the fuel filter cause I wouldn't know where to start on getting the right one lol
