I had a 78 TA W72 Blk with t-tops with red velour, every factory option available. 220hp, and no one could catch me... Man, I miss that car...

That is beautiful I wanted this when I was younger I almost bought that exact car and year I could not afford the insurance especially with the T top’s insurance was 1200 a year way back in 1978 I lived in Chicago South side at the time

220 h.p for the w72 t/a 6.6 that came as an option. Headers add another 15 to 20 h.p

Are the wheels correct for this particular car? They were part of the WS6 handling package with the bigger 255-60-15 tires. Don't get me wrong, I prefer these to the regular snowflake wheels but I didn't see the WS6 code on the sheet. Unless, of course these also part of the W72 performance package. Beautiful car nonetheless, very, very nice!

I could have bought a nice real deal all original 1978 400 auto SE for $3000 back in 1995.....I loved the front end style but didnt want to be called "Bandit" everywhere I went and ended up buying a cosmetically rougher but rust free original 1975 455 4 speed T/A blue with white interior......paid $2500 for it........even though I still love it and will try to never sell it it still bugs me that I let the 78 go and today the Bandit cars are big money and you can hardly give away a nice 75 bird because of the ugly bumpers LOL.....oh well😉

If its a real w72 400 they were realy closer to 260 280 hp exhaust tune 320 hp true story
