Are the SR springs linear for the 2015+ Mustangs? I'm not a big fan of progressive springs.

Thank you for the detailed video and not just saying “now repeat on the other side” or put it back in the reverse order”. Some of us have decent mechanical knowledge but have never done this particular thing before and with most people’s level of OCD these days, all the details are appreciated

Crazy American cars with the multitudes of different size wrenches, sockets. Lowering my 2001 Integra , all I need was 3 size of wrenches and sockets.

Done mine today,SR springs, rear shocks, end links. All from AM. Took 4 hours (10am-2pm) with 1 floor jack and no spring compressor. Decent time i guess.

Can I cut these springs? Installed these exaxt springs on my 89 coupe and it sits like a monster truck. Literally can fit my head in the rear wheel well. Granted my car is little lighter but still seems excessive.

Instead of letting the brake line stress while the control arm is sagging when taking off and putting in the front springs, you can just disconnect the caliper brackets and zip tie it somewhere up high to keep it out of the way

what if the rear springs ends face opposite ways ?

Had to laugh at the front spring removal after all the bolts were removed. Prying on the spring with all the tension on the brake line you can see it tugging/stressing the brake line as he pries on it. Real good way cause yourself more issues. You never let the A arm assy. hang with the brake line holding it up like that.

This needs to be up more. I'm glad I read this, I'm about to change the isolators and my shocks and now I know to put a jack stand under the rotor, or unmount it to protect it and keep the brake line from unneeded stress. Fuck, I probably would have let it hang like this dude without reading this.

I was laughing at hitting the bolts with a freaking Hammer to get them out his kids never heard of a rubber mallet or a soft blow hammer

I just did front sides but one side is lower than the other one, what I could get wrong? Thank you
@AzalofForossa
@AzalofForossa 3 года назад
Sounds like the coils are seated at different angles. One could be sideways and the other could be correct. I believe that's the problem if the height is truly that drastically different

Why do the before and after pics look the exact same? Do the springs need time to compress into their final state?

They make it look like springs install them self but not that easy the fronts can hurt you coming out.

The spring isolators are the worst, the one I "cut" is fighting back and not staying on the spring :(
@ians2920
@ians2920 2 года назад
I think I would of unbolted the caliper and moved it out of the way. That brake line looked pretty stretched out when you were prying down in the A Arm down. You kept saying the age of the car. Just saying………

Will these work on my 2000 gt convertible ?
@wispr_official
@wispr_official 3 года назад
Yes
@americanmuscle
@americanmuscle 3 года назад
They will technically fit, but technically your convertible weighs more than coupe Mustangs. That means when installing these springs you will get slightly more drop than advertised, and the handling may be different than designed. I would recommend looking for a set of springs specific for your convertible if possible. -Zach

@@AutoMotivate First minute of the video of " SR Performance Linear LOWERING Springs" he actually said "If you like the look of the 1.5 inch drop these SR springs have"... After is definitely higher in the front in the comparison pics. Also looks like the tire was inflated more in the after pic. At 9:30 he shows the springs he removed and says "1.5 inch drop all 4 corners". Aftermarket B.S.

Mason Family I see your point now. I agree. I missed that. Nevertheless, this is a good demonstration on replacing the springs
