That’s awesome, I love the old Smokey cars, would love to get one of my own some day!

I ordered a set of wheels for my 80 turbo trans am off jegs. After 3 years, they still haven't even shipped, so I found a refurbished set and bought them instead

Yeah jegs has never been a good experience when I’ve used them. Summit all the way

How much did this set you back? I got the same year and wanna upgrade the suspension

Control arms were roughly $800, the hotchkis drop springs were $220 ish, front shocks were $140 for both. I also did every steering component so we could add that up too, but that’s roughly what I paid. The control arms came with bushings and ball joints pre installed. New hardware set me back maybe $25 all together

Make sure you use High Temperature POR 15 on those Rotors!

I didn’t end up por 15’ing or painting the rotors, chances are the brakes will be upgraded long before these rotors rot, but the next set will be powder coated

I dropped mine 2" front and rear , I should have gone with adjustable upper a-arms . Most parts are available (classic industries).

What makes the upper arms adjustable? Is it just adjustable camber?

@@OlsonAuto I believe on some you can adjust caster to. With 255/45/17 I run about 4" ground clearance . Something to keep in mind.

Well I can adjust caster it’s just the same as stock, with the little shims. I debated running adjustable but they were way more expensive for the ones I saw so I decided to go with these instead. Can you dm me a pic of what your car looks like 2” lower? IG is @olsonauto

Looking good, definitely add subframe connectors to really stiffen it up!

@@rustyphoenixresto9887 I believe I need poly body mounts to do that, and I was dumb enough to buy regular ones, so it might be a bit before I do, but I will

Try rockauto plz they half the price and fast shipping I promise
@OlsonAuto

Every experience I’ve had with rock auto has been awful. Axles that break 2 months in, shocks blow out in a week, tie rods bend after hitting one small pothole, all cheap junk. I’ll spend a bit extra and get quality parts I won’t have to replace
