That bike in that year and in that color was my first new motorcycle. I loved that bike but couldn't afford to keep it because we had a baby. I miss it.
Hello, I'm from Germany and I have a question: what kind of seat is on your Honda CX500C? Do you have to convert something for this, where do you get it from? My original is too high for me. Greetings Wolfgang
It is a nice seat. I thought maybe it was from a GL 400 or similar. The 650 custom had a similar seat. But on closer inspection it looks like someone has modified the original. At 1:22 you can see that the piping does not match the contour of the foam underneath but the pattern of the stitching is the CX. The good news is that you can modify your own. I know what you mean though. I'm only 165cm and to have foot firmly on the ground, the weight of Vtwin is quite evident especially with a passenger. All top heavy. I'm converting my CX500c to a cafe racer in the near future.
That is surprising. It does need adjustment, I have a CX, never heard valve slapping like that. But still, it's an amazing bike, the new owner will be a happy man. Is it possible lack of driving has helped create this noise? It no doubt sat A LOT. Always best to put at least a few rides a year on a bike.
