Awesome. At my fire station we have at 84 DM mack with the same engine. 210 hp, 5sp auto, 5000 gallons of water. Dual pipes, no mufflers. You can here her form a mile away. Approximately 64,000 lbs fully loaded. Tops out at 55 mph on level ground, but the instant she hits a grade 15 to 20 at best. Oh her nickname is the rolling roadblock. She is reliable, and brings a lot of water to the scene.
The 3208 evolved from the previous 1160, which also displaced 10.4 liters. The 1160 was one of three engines Cat developed in collaboration with Ford and Gillig during the final months of 1967, the other two being the smaller 1140 and 1145 (both 8.6 liters) and the 1150 (9.4 liters).
@@DanielBoonesloggingvideos I looked at international specs for that year truck it shows they only offered a international 466 motor i,my thinking some one may have changed the motor over time
