This is a 1979 MGB. I am the second owner. This beautiful 1979 MGB recieved a ground up restoration. Every single nut and bolt was replaced, all body panels removed for restoration, all new rubber parts, all new seat kits including foams and seat frames restored/painted and all interior panels. All electrical switches, bulbs and were also replaced or restored during the restoration. Along with the cosmetic restoration the engine was rebuilt and the standard 4 speed transmission was replaced with a new restored transmission with overdrive. All the hydraulics were replaced with quality new units and hydraulic lines. New complete clutch components to include the much forgotten clutch fork bearing. The final part of the ground up restoration was the complete rebuild of the suspension and rebuild of the rear axle.

Very nice restoration. The rubber bumper Bs take a bad rap, but really have a good looking profile. Looks like you had to keep the HP limiting manifold for emissions reasons. I am in the same boat with my '78.

Yup, I'm in Commifornia. I have it well tuned and it gets very good gas mileage. I like the rubber bumper MGBs better because in my opinion they give a more modern smoother ride and protect the front and back of the cars way better than the chrome bumper cars. My very first MGB (1967 in British racing green) was rear ended when my dad was using it. It totaled the car but my day was not hurt. MGBs are designed to crumple and keep the occupants safe. I currently have a 68, 71, 79, 80 (the is 95% complete and should be done by the end of the summer) and to Limited Edition models 79 & (80 This LE is in line for restoration as I gather the parts and sent my time lines for this ground up restoration) all the others have been fully restored. In addition I recently acquired a 68 MGC GT. I plan to do a restoration video on that car too.
