Born again 1982 @ 25 …. was told about John in 1990 by a friend and pastor. been listening to his teaching ever since. Many days 2 or more sermons a day ! Love you JMac!!

Brother Tim, thank you so much for sharing this. I saw a snippet of it a few years ago. The video was very moving. I find a warmth in watching people be water baptized, and sharing their testimonies. Even though I’ve never met any of those people, and some of them may no longer be here, you know we’re all one family as children of God. It was hard to hold back tears. It’s such a joy knowing we will be one big family together in Heaven with Jesus one day. It was great to see Pastor John in his younger days. This is a gem. God bless you.

This is absolutely priceless. I was 18 years old in 1979. Single mother just struggling to survive . I thought of nothing else but where our next meal was coming from and where we would sleep safely. I had absolutely forgotten about the styles , the times and now I know that all I needed was Jesus.

Hearing those people giving their testimonies before being baptized was something I absolutely love hearing. It’s in stark contrast in comparison to what superficial testimonies you will hear at 99% of churches today

I have seen this before I cannot recall via what website, lovely to see it again cuts out a bit at the end. Through pastor John's ministry he as constantly had people people being drawn by the Lord because JM as remained faithful to the word and not watered it down. Unlike so many churches who are either filled with false converts because of the prosperity gospel or like the church I'm attending dwindling in numbers because the pastor keeps saying how we aren't perfect making excuse for sinning. Basically tickling the ears of the congregation. I pray he stops trying not to offend people and just preach the undiluted word like pastor Macarthur. thanks for sharing, this video God bless you 🙏🏽💜

Dude Pastor John McArthur 45 years later preaching the same gospel message as he did back then. Praise the Lord Jesus for this vessel that glorifies God & Jesus Christ in truth.... Note: he actually looks better now (in his 80s i think) than he did back then. xD

I just hope these people were able to not drink. It's so easy to fall back into it. Satan knows our weak spots. He attacks it. Life is a battle.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the same even today. He came to bring the Truth that mankind is sinful and needs a Saviour. The only Saviour is Jesus Christ who is God. He came to bring us back to God. It's His work in us that transforms us from being sinners to being righteous in God's eyes. Thank you Father God for revealing yourself in Jesus and for saving me from eternal hell. I love you so much Jesus. You are my Lord and my Saviour.

"1979" caught my eye - this was such a huge year for me. I got my driver's license in the summer of that year. I went forward in a church in 1977. This film is really good, BTW.

Thank you for this! 65c/gal gas! My first visit to Grace was 1980 or 81. John was going through Matt 10. I had recently become a Christian through the help of his tape ministry up in China Lake CA. I was excited to ride a few hours with a friend to attend. It was a great day. A few years later I moved nearby so I could attend the Logos Bible Institute. That was the best year of my life - full time Bible studies and many great teachers (I think all are pastoring churches now for some time) and friends. When I arrived in town from NM, I had a $1500 cashiers check to get a place to stay and almost no more cash. I found a room to rent through the Opportunity Sheet. I went to the bank to get my money for them but the bank would not give it to me for 5 days! I was petrified but knew God wanted me here. I prayed all the way back as I drove up Reseda Blvd near Sherman Way. I explained to the owner expecting to be living in my car for a week but he trusted me for the money and everyone welcomed me in and thus began a great year. I also remember the first time I heard Jubilant sing. He was the song. I wish someone took a picture of how wide my eyes must have gotten. I never heard or seen anyone like him. He was unreal - angelic.
