This commercial use to come on all the time in NYC/NJ. The sad/funny thing is this commercial and the 1980 Gold Medal victory got me in to playing hockey that year as a kid and I still play to this day. Thank you very much to whomever posted this. Great memories.
CapitolStepsDC You're so right, this was quite a popular commercial at the time in the NY/NJ area. They look like they were having a blast. Great upload.
As a Boston Bruins Fan, I am so happy someone uploaded this video. This was my favorite Sassoon Jeans Commercial, I remembered seeing this in 1979. 😂😂😂 Major thanks for bringing it to You Tube.
OMG! I'd like to thank whoever posted this hilariously cheesy commercial back. Not only that,I also remember my teacher Miss Roberta Wolf wearing these jeans along with Jordache,Sergio Valente,Bon Jour,Carabanane, and a few others.
This happened right around the time the Bruins went into the stands at MSG. I had the Bruins channel on cable. Ooh la la sasson or fighting fans? That's when I became a Bruins fan!
Both Esposito brothers are THE heroes of my hometown of Sault Ste. Marie. They were born and raised there, and along with Ronny Francis, are the biggest hockey names to ever come from there.
Ron Duguay just got national spotlight today. He suckered punch a photographer while on a date with Sarah Palin. Asking "are you aware that Sarah Palin tested positive for covid?" That's when Ron stood up and confronted the photographer and asked him something and that's when he grabbed the photographer phone and threw it on the ground.
Thank you for posting! I remembered Espo, Duguay, and Maloney, but could not think of the 4th guy. I remembered it being either Jan Erixon or Reijo Ruotsalainen. I was wrong!! Definitely Anders Hedberg.
Funny! I recall Sasson getting mad because they pronounced the name "Sassoon" and people thought it was "Vidal Sassoon" the hairdresser! :-) Dave in this video is the brother of Don Maloney now General Manager of the "Arizona Coyotes"
I won't spoil the answer here, but this was a Final Jeopardy clue in 2013: 'This author who passed away in 2012 quipped, "For those who haven't read the books, I am known best for my hair preparations"'
those were the days!!!, a few years earlier was when Disco Inferno was blasting over the garden speakers as the Rangers came out on the ice, I was sitting with my Jewish Buddy Jon Horwich
@@notsparctacus I grew up here and still live here in Northern New Jersey and thankfully to this day and I don't know any Ranger or Islander fans. Yes I'm a NJ Devils fan. As for Southern New Jersey the Flyer fans can stick it where the sun don't shine.
You all live in bubbles and must not get out. Grew up on LI and I had friends who were fans of the 3 teams. Makes it more fun to talk smack - like how the Isles new stadium was built with the help of Uncle Jim Dolan and both Devils and Isles play on the Rangers network! Thanks for the free agents!
Tell that to all the charitable organizations hockey players donate their time and money to. For example, pk subban donated 10 mill to a children's hospital in Montreal and I'm not even a subban fan, but had mad respect for him since then. Don't be so eager to blanket judge.
+Elisheva Cohen That's exactly how I see it. I would take the Disco 70's and stuff like this commercial over the trash that's currently on TV now, especially rap noise.
