Right hand drive 1970's 911s aren't that plentiful, but we've found one and we've bought it.
This is an 80,000 mile Minerva Blue Porsche 911 SC in a tatty condition, especially the paintwork. It runs ok but needs some injection system work and an overhaul as it's been sitting in a garage in Norfolk for the last 16 years.
It's beautiful, especially that 'Bay City Rollers' tan tartan interior - or rather it was beautiful once upon a time.
What to do with it? It's tempting to backdate it to 'RS Tribute spec'. Or to Hot Rod the hell out of it? Or, perhaps just restore it to as it was when it left Zuffenhausen.
Well, after much deliberation we've decided what we're doing and this is the beginning of the SC project journey...
Backdate? Yes or no? And whatever we do, do the numbers stack up given what we paid for the car and what we are going to spend?
