The popularity of electronic coin-operated machines like Space Invaders, Astro Wars, Galaxia and Pong has inspired a retrospective look at the history of slot machines at the Camden Arts Centre.
Nationwide's Jenny Clayton pays a visit to the exhibition, where historian and author Charlotte Parry-Crooke demonstrates some of the weird and wonderful antique slot machines on display. All manner of juke boxes, grip testers, kiss-metres, fruit machines and peep shows are exhibited, some of which date back as far as 1890.
