They spin the main brgs in the case alloy housings - 1 trade secret is to put a dab of " Loctite or superglue " ( NOT too much ) on the outter bearing races on assembly. This stops the Mains turning in their alloy housings. This applies to C100, C50 , C 70 , S50 , all the 90's & ct 110 & 125 , chaly , Z50 & Z50a & QA50 etc...too
@@RescueRestoration Thanks...not too much Loctite though.. just a little dab or you'll never spilt the cases again ! - mains do spin in their alloy crankcase cases until the bearing outers have nothing to grip on - 1 other way is to shim the bearings outwards but bit complicated for most ave man (or Girl) cut shims out of chassis punches & shim stock for those techy.......grooves/lines in the outer brg race cage=spinning brg .Thanks for reading & posting.Trev NZ.😊
Why do you always leave the middle cargo rack off? Every time I see a restoration they remove the middle rack and never put it back. Why? I always find them handy.
Its a nice repaint & rebuid - it is not a TRUE "restoration" - theres steering head races , switchs , etc etc nice but a respray & re-assemble.. Trev N.Z.☺
PS & espially the Chinese built clones & generators built to less finer tolerances than the taiwanese built Hondas ( excludes most USA built, but it wouldn't hurt. Just go easy on the amount of glue - just a little blob or you'll NEVER Split the cases again !
