Guys I have a 1981 XR250R honda dirt bike and it hauls but it just shows that the new bikes are better we have come a long way

XR's are way cool, wish I would'nt have sold mine, I had the 83 XR500R. Have not replaced it yet looking for something that has the torque and feel of the old mule

The old xr has a surprising motor. It pops the front end up easier than an xr 400. The "old ass" bike feel is hard to get comfy on after riding a 20 year newer bike.

That XR 500 is a pretty nice bike, but Jason is correct his bike makes more power. However............ The XR 500 makes better user friendly power. Over all the Jasons bike is the better bike but that old reliable XR can putt putt all day long. Not so much with the RM
