hi, my name is john driscoll, son of johnny driscoll for uva. my local sports reporter is doing a segment on my family because of my dad’s passing away and i was wondering if i could use some clips from this video to put on the news. i will give all credit to you for this amazing video. thank you
Too, Kevin O'Shea and Tony Savarese on D for UVA were not too shabby either. Great talent all over the field. Mark Greenberg is one of the best of all time. My name is Frank Spencer and UVA class of 1980. I was a lacrosse recruit the same class year 1980 as John Driscoll and the other UVA seniors on the 1980 champ team........................however not as good as they were/are and a I had a very short-lived lacrosse career while at UVA. But I have watched and been around lacrosse players of very high quality from at age 10 to age 61 now in 2020...............................Mike Federico is one of the best of all time in my tiny opinion. *******The only difference I detect between players now compared to years ago is the stickhead technology. Back then the plastic stickhead sides were not drawn in like now. With present day stickheads, many of the exact same stick checks, knocks, etc. that previously knocked the ball out decades ago like in this 1980 game would not under exact same conditions. Plus the better ball control in stickhead results in the ball actually exitting the stickhead with more control. ***I have many sticks of all ages. It is very much like Golf Club and Tennis Racquet technology if you ask me. Great athletes and lacrosse players. Great sport and I love it. Great lacrosse players are great athletes and sometimes I think the sticks are just along for the ride ( no pun intended)
Lance Schneck is my uncle my Meema’s (grandma’s) brother. He’s a really nice guy and somewhat of a father figure to my dad. Thought it was super cool when I found out he was in the hall of fame
