I moved to Langham near Colchester as a 5 year old in 1977. We then moved to Chester in 1983. I'm now about to be 50 and living in Norfolk. Still go down to colch every so often. Thank you for up loading all the pics. Brings back a feeling of then..

Wow. So many memories. A few people I recognise and definitely a ton of buildings I remember. My brother in law in the centre of the picture at 7:40. I lived there from 1978 to 2010 pretty much. It actually made me a bit emotional seeing all this.

@@ybashburn Lovely! We had a Mrs. Theobald and Mr. Thomas but the Head teacher back then was Mr. Balkley right? Its unfortunate there isn't an alumni for former students, that would be some get-together!

@@Stowerway Awww bless! Yes, it would be lovely if there was an alumni but I guess we shall have to settle with just photos and video clips... Stay safe!

I haven't been into colchester for years, mainly because it's so anti-car. I would like to have a drive around but so many streets are buses only etc.

It's now a city with a very small c , no CBT or Eastern National buses anymore . They are thinking of installing Trams . It's a complete shithole nowadays .
