Thanks joseph. I think it came out of both of us being sick of seeing images on instagram and not being able to afford (or find) the photobooks we wanted.

There are definitely contemporary photographers who work as hard and have great bodies of work, but I guess time will tell. Either way I hope AI is never seriously involved in the discussion

Agreed. If you look at the John Simmons photo, the couple are out of focus and it doesn’t matter at all

@@frame-lines Some of the most iconic photos I can think of from the OLD National Geographics, Time, etc publications...many of them had tons of things that would be considered 'flaws' today...large grain, slightly out of focus, or the subject is in motion with some blur, etc. The photographers were obviously skilled, but they put the subject matter and what they were trying to get across ahead of anything else, first and foremost. A story without words, if you will...I am a first time visitor to your channel and really enjoyed the content. Thanks for sharing it with us! Subbed!
