Yes I didn't actually try that part on this video. Would've had to lower my preamp pedal Citadel so it didn't clip into my interface. But I definitely will check it out!
Hello, just discovered your channel, great content! I'm in the market for a distortion pedal to play early 00's emo/post hardcore ,in your opinion was the best pedal for these kinds of genres? I really liked the Longsword after watching your demo and been sleeping on the DRV for awhile now, another contender is the JHS Angry Charlie because it simulates the Marshall amp all bands tended to use in that time period/genre. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Oh Longsword nails that tone for sure! That's definitely a recommendation. John built that pedal for that exact purpose. DRV is more pop punk to be fair. It works great with a boost in front of it. I would buy EAE Citadel or a Wampler Plexidrive for the Marshall thing. It kinda depends how your signal chain looks like actually. Are you going into an amp?
Thanks for the reply! I'm going to look more into the Longsword now, still want a DRV at some point tho lol. I'm going into an old fender frontman 10 (my first amp) haven't gotten around to upgrading it yet, I have a variety of pedals that I put in front of it but no distortion at this point just various overdrives and fuzz pedals. That's why I wanted something of a amp in a box or a dedicated distortion to play these kind of genres. @@alexradsby
