@@romb1818 Please don't take offense, It's a pet peeve of mine. Lots of people started incorrectly calling them rims instead of wheels. I always point out... The steering wheel in a car also has a rim, but no one calls it a steering rim. It's a steering wheel, the part that you hold on to, the outer edge is called the rim. The center portion of the wheel is called the hub, radiating out from the hub are the spokes, slots or solid disc. The outer edge is the rim. 👍
I have the same car (platinum) and about to install the 6.2 LS engine Will be a lot of fun when finished, long tube Kooks headers,BTR camshaft etc,not looking for race car hp,but reliability, which I haven’t had in the 15 yrs I have owned it Like all 928’s they have electric Gremlins, and the only way to correct that problem,is with the GM engine, totally reliable, tuneable, parts are readily available etc✅ The 928 is a fantastic car,a true GT
@@patrickkelly8512 Hi Patrick, Reliability is what I’m after, and thus far in the 15 yrs I have owned the car I haven’t had The oem engine is only part of the overall situation As all 928’s are aging, and they all have electrical woes, and are very expensive to fix With the LS series engines, you get more power, more reliability, much more tuneable etc
A guy in town here had one for a long time and he seldom got the opportunity to drive it as it was always breaking down. Iirc it had constant problems with the drive line and of course electrical nightmares. But boy howdy they're gorgeous looking. LS should make it scoot quite well.
I watch more engine swap videos than a grown man probably should. The 928 (and the SL Benz) are perfect candidates for an LS swap. The old engines are garbage by modern standards, and savagely unreliable. Old slushboxes are even worse. This car with an LS and a stick is going to be as reliable as a Camry. How much about $$??
Please remove the aftermarket rear spoiler and replace it with the black factory spec 928S spoiler. Same for the ridiculous aftermarket wheels. Please fit a set of original 16 inch wheels. And while you're at it, remove the horrible American bumpers. Lovely car.
Ernsthaft, .....
