@@FullyVetted the day my grandpa gave me my Corvette because I am related to Louis Chevrolet and to me this is a family car and since Zora Arkus Duntov signed the car one on the door and one inside the and there is a plack that was in the car but it fell off I don't know if it was just temporary or not since the car was to be destroyed by GM it's a prototype Corvette
@@AlbertPendergraff-rp7jp Wow! That's an amazing story. What part of the country are you located in? Send me an email to boomercorvette@gmail.com with more information about the car.
I love the corvette because I have a 1977 Corvette you got the last Corvette string Ray and I have one built by Zora Arkus Duntov and you are right they are a lot of fun even with the t tops off mine has two tops it came with a soft top I am a member of the NCRS and a life time member of the Corvette museum in Bollingreen Kentucky
I have a 1982 in top condition has 135K miles after one year owning it the crossfire malfunctioned. I did som research and decided change it over to a carb and manifold. Put edelbrock 600 and put HEI distributor. Put fuel pressure regulator with excess pressure being fed back to the tank. Unhooked computer. It now has way more power and never causes any problems. I'm thinking went from 200 hp to 275 hp. Torque is excellent and top end horsepower is way way more. I highly recommend this conversion. Gas mileage is good if I keep my foot out of it. Have low profile tires to get better rear end ratio for power. Will beat a 4.6 mustang gt no sweat.
I have two 1982's. One I've had for over 32 years and it runs fantastic (142000 miles)...still with the crossfire. The second car (65,000 miles) I bought about a year and a half ago, and the power supply to the ECM just crapped out from corrosion. My mechanic got that fixed, but now it's throwing a code 42...so back to the mechanic. I'm thinking along the same lines as you if this second car keeps giving me trouble. Thanks for commenting!
The whole job I did myself cost me less than a thousand for everything. The car is soon much better. I Haye the crossfire. Now I absolutely love my corvette. Hauls azz!
Ummm,....How about getting an alignment done on that vette?????? While driving down a straight road the steering wheel was pointed at the 2:00 o'clock position. Wild.
