LOL, Charley Pell running off the field after this victory like a child who just got a new kite. You don't see coaches doing that anymore. Today after victories, head coaches be so stiff and ready to get away from the media, fans, and everybody else.
This was the victory lap game when the team led by Pell waving a plastic gator in his hand held high above his head ran the perimeter of the field thanking the fans and Gator Nation
Some of Florida's best defense is in this game (specifically Wilber Marshall). It's funny to see two former Jacksonville Jaguar coaches play against each other, too.
As someone who was born in 1991 it is REALLY weird to see BHG stadium like this and not known as the Swamp. Almost seems like a bizarro world alternate reality.
James Jones (Lions), Joey Browner (Vikings) and Don Mosebar (Raiders) were selected in the first round of the '83 NFL Draft ahead of Dan Marino. QBs for the three teams during Marino's career with the Dolphins: Lions--Danielson, Hipple, Ferguson, Long, Peete, Gagliano, Ware, E. Kramer, Mitchell, Batch Vikings--T. Kramer, W. Wilson, Dils, A. Manning, Bono, Salisbury, Gannon, McMahon, Moon, B. Johnson, Cunningham, Culpepper Raiders--Plunkett, M. Wilson, Evans, Beurlein, Schroeder, Marinovich, Hostetler, Gannon
The '82 Florida team was the biggest enigma. They seemed so good with a ton of talent, then the loss at home to what turned out to be a good LSU team and an inexplicable loss at Vandy. Then a 44-0 loss to Georgia? That team just seemed a lot better than its final record.
