My tio David Medrano from James Lick High used to go lowriding in the early to late 1970s on the weekends from San Jose(408) to LA on Whittier Blvd. He told me he would compete with other guys in the contests of hopping too or cruise around for fun, he also told me that one of the car clubs by the name of "Imperial" car club had asked him to join them sadly he declined the offer.
They completely glossed over the American traditional custom car scene that gave birth to hydraulics and the paint jobs. This was a multi - racial subculture.
Seriously bud, evidently these cars got enough of your attention to get you click on it. To each his own, I love low riders always have and always will but still have room in my brain to appreciate other styles. SMFH😐😐😐
