Lot of good players in this game. You got Cheryl Miller, Cynthia Cooper, Pamela McGee (JaVale McGee's mom) His aunt and Pam's twin sister Paula McGee. And from Louisiana Tech, you got Kim Mulkey (Now the Baylor Lady Bears' coach) and Debra Rodman (Dennis Rodman's sister)
You’ve got to be kidding me. Olympians Cheryl Miller (the GOAT), Cynthia Cooper and Pam McGee playing in the same team is ridiculously incredible. Aside from these trio, some of the best basketball players have come out of USC: Lisa Leslie, Tina Thompson, Monica Lamb, Paula McGee and Cherie Nelson to name a few. Their lineups during those glory years were filled with first team Parade All Americans!
The worst decision La Tech ever made was not hiring Mulkey as their basketball coach, where are they today? Baylor's best decision was getting her, where are they today? Three National Champs later.
As amazing as this is...Cynthia Cooper and Cheryl Miller together? Are you kidding me? Perhaps the most interesting part is 1:21:18 - I mean who knew how that would turn out? = '
I went to their basketball camp in 1983!!! big fan of Kim Mulkey!!! Sonja Hogg was head coach I believe....These Ladies were so amazing!!!! They went undefeated for a while! so much fun to watch!
Normally in this time frame Brent Musburger was the studio host for CBS Sports Saturday/Sunday. This weekend he was in Albuquerque for the men’s Final Four. It was a rare site to see Pat Summerall as a studio host.
That charging situation was atrocious. It was Hard watching the refs make that call, with current basketball understanding. This was a great find though.thanks for posting. Commercials and all. 👍🏾😁
I said the same thing lol and she threw the ball at her after the foul. That today would be a tech foul. But it was the 80s. A yr before my birth lol. I just love seeing this as I don’t know who wins lol. But it’s crazy seein Kim Mulky lol
Back in the day the women used old school international rules, I.e. no backcourt and no 10 second line. They also used a regulation sized ball, not the smaller ball used today.
