My firsg truck was an 1989 S 10. 2.8 liter v 6 4x4. Loved that little truck. Id buy another one in a second of O could find it. I would splurge for the 4.3 v6. Those are quick little trucks

I still have my old Tahoe trim package with 2.8 V6 still runs good and has the optional power Vista vent IE sunroof, I love when people ask me if it's fast, I just politely remind them it's 3300 lb with only 120 horsepower and shaped like a brick but I wouldn't trade it for nothing

Lol I hear ya. I had one in high school too. Overall it looked and drove great. The two issues at the time were the ignition switch didn't need a key, and so my buddies would always move my truck for fun. There was also a pin hole in the gas tank, so I'd take a corner and loose fuel.

In the 80s everything had to be "designed on a computer" or "computer controlled". To the average person, it made whatever you were selling seem more advanced

@@1jdm408 What's the condition of it? Also, how do you know it has that many miles? I do believe the odometers only show 5 digits plus the 1/10 digit.

I grew up with a 1982 two tone blue over white Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe that my dad bought brand new! I've always loved the tough little trucks!!

I grew up watching these roam the highways at the time. While my family never had S10 trucks or SUVs, we knew some friends or relatives who did.

Cool video ! Thanks for sharing. I have owned my 1987 Chevy Blazer S10 Tahoe for the last 4 years. I am a Ford guy really, and have always been a fan of the Bronco IIs and the shitty mid size suvs that were produced in the 80's/90s. A Bronco II was my first vehicle that I bought for just 500 bucks in 1999, and I had it for 8 years and bought 3 more over the years. But before I started driving, my buddy who was two years older than I had very same S10 Blazer I do now, and we went every where in NJ in that thing in the 90's, and that is why when I seen it I had to buy it. So many good memories growing up in my buddies Blazer, and we went to Ozzy Concerts, camping trip in Stokes State forest, off roading in West Milford, and taking beach trips to Sea Side Heights and Asbury Park Nj. That truck was a lot of fun, and so were my Bronco II's. They are basically the same thing.

lol... the 3-4 bounces of the suspension after he comes to a stop... I'd say he needs some new shocks but it's apparently a brand new vehicle.

My first vehicle ever in high school. A black 1985 Tahoe trim S10 2.8 V6 2wd. It was 1995. Good memories. Tough truck. This vid takes me back when I see that interior. Black 1989 Bronco was what I was lucky to get senior year to replace it.

Optional rear seat? Not sure why GM wouldn’t offer the rear seat standard. I wonder if that was 83 only, or to claim they had the lowest price at the time.

Mom got one in 1987, the doors had massive rust holes in them when I was old enough to sit in the front seat. 2002 or something. No airbags, so it was okay to sit up front. Haha

I was lucky, and got my Blazer from the Original owners with just 75,000 miles on it, and after 4 years I now have 97,000 miles on it ! It has been a rough ride, and I have had a few typical GM problems with it ( Steering Column mounting bolts came loose and had to be completely rebuilt - the power steering pump mounting bracket cracked and had to be welded - 2 radiators so far because they are auto zone Chinese garbage that break - and a few small things.) but I like the truck so much, that I went through the hassle to keep it going and fixing it because the engine still goes with no problems so far thank God. Also, the truck has been immortalized on the cover of my Second book and it is now famous, so i have to keep it on the road ! It is the show truck for my book ! My book is called Road Rage - At Its Finest, and it is on Amazon ! My book is the first self-help book for Road Rage and it is selling like hot cakes. Please check it out :} You can type in my full name on Amazon also, Gennaro Lombardi - or check me out on instagram @ History in the Writing. (alloneword)

Man... wouldn't want to drive that 1.9L 4 cylinder with an automatic. 0-60? Maybe. Depends on how much you've got in the vehicle. Just looked it up. Estimated 22 seconds 0-60, lol.

Hey let's load this Blazer up with an empty propane tank, drive into a field and then hook the empty propane tank up in a hot air balloon, fly away, and abandon the Blazer there. That's a totally logical way to demonstrate how awesome the Blazer is
