I always thought that Statesman's looked better than Fairlane's. The Statesman interiors and dashboards looked far better presented than the Fairlane or Chrysler from HJ onwards. Clearly not many others thought so because the Fairlane was the sales champion. But that was beginning to change with this model the WB. The Fairlane (and it's LTD twin) were starting to look very Falcon like and there was no V8 on offer. For the first time since the HQ Statesman had a brief victory over the Fairlane, Holden were on track to overtake Ford again........then in 1984 Holden pulled the plug on all WB Holden's. Go figure huh?
