I know this video is old, but that collar that disintegrated on you when you pulled the ignition lock assembly is cheap to replace. 944)nline always has them listed on their E-Bay site. The ignition switch is a must-replace item as well, since they're notorious for failure and very cheap anyway. I've seen aftermarket ones for under $10.00, though a factory original can be had for something like $40.00 if you want the most reliable part.
There is a new video that shows you how to replace the dash with no issues, this guy needs to review that one and delete this one, nice attempt nut I do not recommend, I'm glad I waited.
